Ronald J. Lenhert, 74 of Biglerville, passed peacefully at home with his family by his side Tuesday, June 5, 2012. He was the husband of Maxine Lenhert for 56 years having been married March 10, 1956.

Born October 24, 1937 in Columbia, PA, he was the son of the late Claude and Alma (Wiseman) Lenhert.

Ronald was employed as a Quality Control Inspector for Harley Davidson of York retiring in 2000 after 33 years. He was a member of the Navy Reserves from 1956 – 1964. Ronald loved spending time with his family and country music.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter and a son: Rick J. Lenhert, North Carolina; Sharon L. Staub and her husband William, Abbottstown; sister: Miriam Fowler, Maryland; brother: Philip Lenhert, Sr., Mountville, PA; 2 grandchildren: Amie Gebhart and Matt Staub; 1 great granddaughter: Aubrey Gebhart; also several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter: Debra L. Lenhert; grandson: Andy Lenhert; brother: Harold Lenhert.

A service to celebrate the life of Ronald J. Lenhert will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc, 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover, PA 17331 with Rev. Timothy J. Kielley officiating. A time to share memories and have an opportunity to view will be from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
