Anita S. (Wallen) Gladfelter, 65 of Hanover passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, August 27, 2022.  She was the beloved wife of 19 years to Robert E. Gladfelter.

Born April 14, 1957 in Gettysburg, she was a daughter of the late Frank G. and Janet B. (Shultz) Wallen.

Anita retired from UTZ after 25 years.  She most cherished spending time with her family.  She also enjoyed yard sales, flea markets and the beach, and she loved butterflies.

In addition to her husband, Anita is survived by her son, Kevin T. Mummert of Camp Hill; her granddaughter, Amy Gundacker of Arizona; two sisters: Patricia K. Oxidine of Florida and Deborah J. Swartz and her husband, Joe of Hanover; two brothers: Terry G. Wallen of Florida and Allen L. Wallen of Hanover and two step-daughters: Kay Shellhammer of Hanover and Lisa Costella of Hanover.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Donna K. Thorpe

A memorial gathering to celebrate Anita's life will held from 6 – 8 pm on Friday, September 9 ^th at St. David's United Church of Christ Pavilion; 142 Hobart Rd. in Hanover.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. in Hanover.
