Anna Mae Hempfing, 89, of New Oxford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at the Cross Keys Village Brethren Home Community. She was the loving wife of the late Russell L. Hempfing; together they shared 50+ years of marriage before his passing in 2002.

Born September 27, 1932 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Solomon and Lillian (Copenhaver) Jamison.

Mrs. Hempfing was a long-time member of St. David's Lutheran Church where she was involved in Sunday school and summer programs. Ann also ran a successful beauty shop out of her home in Hobart.

Ann is survived by three granddaughters, Molly Diehl and her husband Brian of Spring Grove, Amanda Loughry and her husband Derrick of Hanover, Maggie Daley and her husband Brian of North Port, FL and their mother Marilyn Hempfing. Mrs. Hempfing is also survived by a sister, Esther of Altoona and a daughter in law, Jane Hempfing of Hanover.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ann was preceded in death by a son, Dean Hempfing.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Hempfing will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA with Pastor Matthew B. Pensinger officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Friday from noon until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. Pallbearers will be; Brian Diehl, Derrick Loughry and Levi Loughry.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. David's Lutheran Church, 1032 Musselman Rd, Hanover, PA 17331.
