Obituary

The family of Anna Mae Sites, 90 of Glen Rock deeply mourns her passing at her home on Monday, April 3, 2023.  She was the beloved wife of Charles E. Sites, Sr. whom she married on April 9, 1955.  The couple was preparing to celebrate their 68 th wedding anniversary.

Born June 1, 1932 in Glenville, she was a daughter of the late Raymond H. and Goldie S. (Dubs)  Rohrbaugh.

Mrs. Sites is fondly remembered as a strong, faithful Christian, as well as a devoted housewife and mother who greatly sacrificed for her children. She worked for Penland Paper, and then served a 25 year career with Hanover Sunoco where she retired.  She was also a Cub Scout Den Mother, a great cook, and enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the United States.  She also loved to sing.

In addition to her husband, Anna is survived by five children: Marilyn K. Stoner and her husband, Rick of McSherrystown, Charles E. Sites, Jr. and his wife Joann of Glenville, JoAnn R. Brumgard and her husband, Larry of Hanover; Patty J. Steinberg and her husband, Roy of Glenville and James L. Sites and his companion, Carol of Glenville; seven siblings: Kathryn Trump of Hanover, Martha Arter of Hanover, Shirley Laughman of Spring Grove, Gerald Rohrbaugh of Masachussetts, Robert Rohrbaugh of Glen Rock, Earl Rohrbaugh of Glen Rock and John Rohrbaugh of Glen Rock, as well as 10 grandchildren and many loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Julie Diann Stoner.

A funeral service to celebrate Anna's life will be held at 6pm on Easter Sunday, April 9 th at Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.; 549 Carlisle St. in Hanover with Pastor Jean Ward officiating.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will also be on Sunday at the funeral home from 4pm until the start of the service.
