Athie (Hirakis) Martindale 92, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully on November 5, 2021 at Paramount Senior Living in Fayetteville, PA. Born March 19, 1929 in Battle Creek Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Patricia (Skubis) Hirakis.

Athie was a loving Mother to her three children, (Roxanne, Kristianna and Preston) and many grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She cherished her family and loved spending time with them. Athie graduated from Michigan State in 1952 with a degree in voice. She loved music and singing. She became a primary elementary school teacher, for over 40 years at two schools in N.Y. The Waldorf School and Buckley Country Day School.

Athie had a great passion for teaching young children, she viewed all her students as her extended family, and kept in touch with many of them over the years.
In addition to her parents Athie was preceded in death by her sister Evelyn Constantinitis.

There will be no public viewing, no services have been scheduled at this time, but for immediate family.
