Obituary

Barry E. Angel, 67, of Abbottstown, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital, York with his family by his side.  He was the loving husband of Kathleen V. (Logeman) Angel, Abbottstown; together they shared 34 years of marriage.

Born September 15, 1956 in York, he was the son of Mary Catherine "Kitty" (Asper) Angel, Hanover and the late Richard L. Angel, Sr.

Barry was a 1974 graduate of Hanover High School and graduated from Shippensburg State College in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting.  He retired on December 31, 2021 from The Sheridan Press, Hanover after 42 years of service.  Barry was an avid bowler and enjoyed watching sports and traveling with his wife.

In addition to his wife and mother, Barry is survived by his daughters, Danielle Mosier and husband Mark, York Springs and Jamie Douglas and husband Dan, Howell, MI; brothers and sisters, Richard Angel, Jr. and wife Pat, Hanover, Wayne Angel, Florida, Pam Miller and husband Dave, Hanover, Lisa Benner and husband Ron, Hanover and Randy Angel and fiancée Lori Axe, Spring Grove and grandchildren, Cole Mosier and wife Kaylee, Hawaii, Delaney Mosier, York Springs, Natalie Harris and husband Caden,  Hailey Douglas, Austin Douglas, and Logan Douglas, all of Howell, MI.

A service to celebrate the life of Barry E. Angel will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 11 AM at First Church of Hanover, 200 Frederick St., Hanover with Rev. Dr. B. Michael Brossman officiating.  There will be a visitation from 10 AM until the start of the service.  A luncheon will be held at the church following the service.  Private interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the numerous healthcare providers who assisted in caring for Barry.
