Barry P. Gotwalt, 79, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at his home.

Born March 12, 1943 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Clarence P. and Beulah V. (Weaver) Gotwalt.

Mr. Gotwalt graduated from Hanover High School in 1961 and then went on to serve his county in the United States Navy receiving the National Defense Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Dominican Republic). Following his time in the service, Barry worked at Amtech in York from 1972 to 2001 then worked at Bousch (formerly Philips) in Lancaster starting in 2001 and retiring in 2009. In his free time Barry enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Gotwalt is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Mary Gotwalt of York; a brother, Terry Gotwalt of Jacksonville, FL; his former wife, Eileen Gotwalt and many loving extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Boughan.
