Barry T. Winand, Sr., 73 of Hanover, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023 at his home.  He was the loving husband of Phyllis (Baker) Winand who died on March 20, 2019.

Born October 14, 1950 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Ralph Henry and Nelia Romaine (Runkle) Winand.

Barry was a truck driver with Vulcan Quarry, Hanover for many years.  He enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes, listening to country music and watching Gunsmoke and Jeopardy.  Barry especially enjoyed taking drives and spending evenings on the couch watching the deer in his backyard.

He is survived by his children, Lisa Winand and fiancé Woodrow Johnson, Hanover, Barry T. Winand, Jr., New Oxford and Travis Winand, New Oxford; brother, Harold Winand, Stewartstown; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren and his former wife Mabel Frock, Hanover.

In addition to his parents and wife, Barry was preceded in death by his sister Linda Winand.

A service to celebrate the life of Barry T. Winand will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 11 AM at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover with Pastor Greg Lowe officiating.  The family will receive friends and share memories on Saturday from 10 AM until the start of the service at the funeral home.
