Beatrice E. "Bea" Butler, 89, of Hanover passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 5, 2021.  She was the wife, for 59 years, of Howard E. Butler who passed away May 10, 2011.

Born July 10, 1931 in Buladean, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Herman and Dorothy Lee (Francis) Hill.

Bea was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She loved cooking and baking for her family.  She also enjoyed gardening, reading and attending Harvest Time Temple, Hanover.  Bea had many friends and was very relationship oriented.

Her survivors include two children; Wayne M. Butler and his wife Victoria of Hanover and Marsha J. Butler and her husband, Jim Fletcher of Hanover; four grandchildren, Ian M. Butler and his wife Naomi of Fairfax, VA, Megan J. Butler-O'Neal of Bloomsburg, PA, Jessica L. Renno and her husband Levi of Boonsboro, MD and Erin B. Grubby and her husband Kyle of Westminster, MD; two sisters, Sharon Walker of Hanover and Bobbie Jean Yelton of Westminster, MD; also survived by 9 great grandchildren.  Mrs. Butler was predeceased by her sister, Lois Belt and her brothers, James Malone Hill and William Hill.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Bea Butler will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, June 11, 2021 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA with Rev. Fred Mummert, officiating.  The family will receive friends, to share memories and express condolences, from 1:00pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.  Final committal will be private in Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
