Bernice E. Croston, 93 of Waynesburg, OH passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 12, 2025.  She was the beloved wife of the late Everett "Pete" Croston who passed away September 15, 2020.

Born June 25, 1932 in Renick, WV, she was a daughter of the late Ted and Olive (Blake) Baldwin.

Mrs. Croston served a long, dedicated career as head cook at McDonald's in Hanover, PA, retiring in 1991 after 20 years. Bernice had a heart of gold, a great sense of humor and was a fantastic cook. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.  Her door was always open and a meal was always ready.

Bernice is survived by three children: Dian Croston and husband Roger of Waynesburg, OH, Deb Brillhart and husband Tim of Spring Grove, PA and Tony Croston and wife Karen of Champions Gate, FL; two siblings: Walter Baldwin and Eva Mock; six grandchildren: Scott, Wendy, Amy, Jeremy, Joshua and TJ; 15 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren (and one on the way), as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Stony J. Croston, as well as three siblings: Nell Urban, Lowell Baldwin and Leonard Baldwin.

A funeral service to celebrate Bernice's life will be held at 11am on Friday, July 18th at Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.; 549 Carlisle St. in Hanover with Pastor William Shanor officiating.  Interment will follow in Marburg Memorial Gardens in Hanover.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will also be on Friday at the funeral home from 10am until the start of the service.
