Bernice I. (Motter) Sheets, 100 of Hanover passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at UPMC Pinnacle Hanover.  She was the beloved wife of 58 years to William B. Sheets who passed away on September 21, 2000.

Born November 20, 1920 in Silver Run, MD, she was a daughter of the late Hebert J. and Jennie A. (Harner) Motter.

Mrs. Sheets was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Littlestown.  She was a 1939 graduate of Littlestown High School, and then attended beauty school.  She was employed as a beautician for 72 years in Hanover.  Bernice was also a member of the Hanover ELKS Lodge, and she enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family.

She is survived by 2 children: Sally Lee Sheets Neifert and her husband, Vance of Dillsburg and William B. Sheets, and his wife, Michele of Hanover; 5 grandchildren: Jill I. Heffelfinger, Jason V. Neifert, Eric B. Neifert, Rachel Mandel and Kristine Heuer; 11 great-grandchildren: Alyssa Heffelfinger, Courtney Heffelfinger, Hunter Neifert, Daniel Heuer, Lucas Heuer, Jack Mandel, Ava Mandel, Eli Mandel, Molly Mandel, Michael Neifert and Justin Neifert, as well as many other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Bernice was preceded in death by her brother, Lewis U. Motter and her 2 sisters, Mary E. Stites and Doris L. Zepp.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Bernice Sheets will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 10 ^th at St. John's Lutheran Church; 665 St. John's Rd.; Littlestown, PA 17340 with Pastor Rebecca Ajer Frantz officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Friday, April 9 ^th from 6-8 pm at Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.; 549 Carlisle St. in Hanover, and again on Saturday morning at the church from 10am until the start of the service.
