Betty J. (Eline) Ankney, 80 of Spring Grove, Entered God's eternal care surrounded by her family on Friday, September 16, 2022 at home. She was the loving wife of the late Howard W. Ankney; together they shared 34 years of marriage before his passing in 2001.

Born October 21, 1941 in Berwick Twp., PA, she was a daughter of the late Howard J. and Sarah R. (Renoll) Eline.

Betty was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she cherished her family and loved spending time with them. She worked at Dertex in East Berlin until they shut down and then went on to work at the Rutter's in Abbottstown until her retirement. In her free time, Betty enjoyed going to Atlantic City, crosswords and going to yard sales.

Betty is survived by four sons, Keith Ankney and his companion Traci Kuhl, Todd Ankney and his wife Stacy, Troy Ankney and his wife Lisa, Shawn Ankney and his fiancé Tracey, all of Spring Grove; grandchildren, Troy Ankney, Jr., Sarah Ankney, Kaitlyn Ankney, Nathan Ankney, Sabrina Ankney, Wesley Ankney, Matthew Ankney, Jonathan Ankney, all of Spring Grove, Jacob Grice of Lititz, Joshua Grice of Elizabethtown, Caitlyn Weik of Newmanstown; great grandchildren,  Oaklynn Ankney of Spring Grove, Trevor Grice of Lititz, Annabeth Grice of Elizabethtown, Autumn Weik of Newmanstown; a brother, Norman Eline of Aspers and many loving extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by brothers, Edwin, William, Lester, Harry and Robert Eline; and her sisters, Anna Dillon, Grace Dubs and Alverta Rohrbaugh and a daughter-in-law, Jackie S. Ankney.

A service to celebrate the life of Betty will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA with Rev. Daniel Summer officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens next to her beloved husband. Pallbearers will be; Troy Ankney, Todd Ankney, Shawn Ankney, Nathan Ankney, Matt Ankney, Keith Ankney, and Troy Ankney, Jr.
