Carol J. Miller, 79 of Hanover passed away peacefully at Gettysburg Hospital on Saturday, May 10, 2025.

Born June 30, 1945 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Hugh I. and Kathryn R. (Hildebrand) Miller.

Ms. Miller is fondly remembered for her outgoing personality and feisty sense of humor.  She was very proud to be a dedicated employee of RH Sheppard in Hanover, retiring in 2011 after exactly 42 years of service.  Among her favorite pastimes was bowling, and she made many great friends and memories participating in multiple leagues at South Hanover Lanes.  She was also a member of the Hanover Eagles.  Most importantly, Carol loved the Lord.  A former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in McSherrystown, she most recently attended St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hanover.

Carol's memory and legacy will be proudly carried on by her daughter, Kelly R. Perdue of Hanover; three grandsons: John E. Perdue and wife Christina of Fairfield, Jordan T. Perdue of Hanover and Steven M. Perdue of Washington, D.C.; three great-grandchildren: Kai Perdue, Uriah Heppner and Micah Heppner, all of Fairfield; one sister, Margaret "Nancy" Fridinger of Hanover; her nephew, Jeffrey Miller and wife Judy of Abbottstown, as well as many other loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Sandra Fridinger and Linda Noel and her brother, Phillip Miller.

A funeral service to celebrate Carol's life will be held at 10am on Thursday, May 15th at Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.; 549 Carlisle St. in Hanover with Rev. Kirk Griffin officiating.  Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hanover.  Time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 14th from 6-8pm, and again on Thursday morning from 9am until the start of the service.
