Charles E. Mong, Jr., 80 of Hanover passed away peacefully at Hanover Hall on Sunday, December 15, 2024.  He was the beloved husband of Julie C. (Bickhart) Mong.

Born February 20, 1944 in York, he was a son of the late Charles E., Sr. and Sadie M. (Brenneman) Mong.

Mr. Mong was a 1962 graduate of William Penn Sr. High School.  He was employed by EDC of Columbia, MD for 25 years before retiring.

Charlie liked traveling with his wife, going golfing with his brothers, and getting together with his family and playing all kinds of card games, especially Pinochle.

In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by two children: Michael E. Mong (Amy) of York and Barbara A. Kauffman of York; a stepdaughter, Rennee Rissinger of Harrisburg; 11 siblings: Carol, Richard, George, Donald (Patricia), Linda, Patricia, Ronald, Terry (Kathy), James (Kathy), John (Donna), Kathy; five grandchildren, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan (Sipe) Mong as well as two siblings, brother William, and sister Nancy.

A celebration of life will be held in private by Mr. Mong's family at a later date.
