Claire "Elaine" Oehlers peacefully passed away on July 26, 2025, in Hanover, PA. at the age of 84. She was born September 9,1940 in Riverside, NJ. to Paul Jones and Mabel "Anne" Jones (Cochran).

In her early years, Elaine attended public schools in Moorestown, NJ. where she resided and later attended college in Berea, OH. and Glassboro, NJ., earning a degree in elementary education. It was at Glassboro where she met her future husband, Bernard "Bern" Oehlers. Together they shared over 63 wonderful years of marriage, living in NJ., MD. and lastly, in PA.

Most of Elaine's career was devoted to raising her family and to the field of education, where she worked as a volunteer, teaching assistant and classroom teacher at various times and levels in both NJ. and MD. schools.

After retiring in 2003, she and her husband moved to Hanover, PA. where they spent over 20 years together buying and selling antiques. It was a hobby that turned into a retirement business which they both enjoyed.

Elaine had a deep appreciation for sharing the journey of life with others. Her greatest joy was found in spending time with family. She is survived by her loving husband, Bern and their two children, Michael Oehlers and Sheryl Hall; son-in-law Tracy Hall; grandchildren Evangeline "Gigi" Hall and Bergen Hall; and brother-in-law James Oehlers.

In accordance with Elaine's wishes, there will be no viewing or memorial services.
