Daisy M. Kump, 89 of Gettysburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Genesis Health Care in Gettysburg.

Born October 5, 1933 in Beulah Dean, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late David and Pansy Ethel (Greene) Hughes.

Mrs. Kump was a loving mother, grandmother, great grand mother, sister and friend; she loved her family and cherished spending time with them. Daisy loved to travel; her favorites in particular were attending rodeos, go kart races in Hunterstown, and car races at Lincoln Speedway. She enjoyed hosting and shopping at yard sales but above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Daisy is survived by three daughters, Cynthia M. Hippensteel and her partner Donald Riley of Aspers, PA; Rachel J. Grimes and her husband Tony of Hanover, PA; Rebecca K. Bankert and her husband Sam of Thomasville, PA; and son, Michael P. Kump and his wife Janice of Jupiter, FL; siblings Larry Hughes of New Oxford, PA, Betty Jo Gastley of Hanover, PA; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren and 11 great great great grandchildren. Daisy is also survived by many loving extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kump was preceded in death by her two daughters Candace Forbes and Babygirl Kump; grandchild, Shannon Hurley; great grandchild, Breanna Gaugler; brothers Samuel, Manuel and Leland Hughes; and a sister Anna Schuler.

There will be no public viewing. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
