David A. Treadway, 67, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2024.

Born on August 8, 1956, in Panama City, FL, David was the beloved son of Jean M. (Hippensteel) Treadway of Hanover, PA, and the late Frederick L. Treadway, Sr.

David was a man of immense warmth and generosity, always ready to bring joy and support to those around him. His infectious smile and willingness to lend a helping hand made him a cherished friend and family member.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Jean; his daughter, Amy Brooks; and two grandchildren. David also leaves behind his four brothers: Frederick Treadway Jr., Michael Treadway Sr., Richard Treadway, and Dennis Treadway, Sr., along with many loving extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

A memorial service to celebrate David's life will be held at 7 PM on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the First Church of Hanover, located at 200 Frederick St., Hanover, PA. The Rev. Dr. B. Michael Brossman will officiate. Friends and family are invited to share memories and offer condolences from 5 PM until the time of the service at the church.

In keeping with David's wishes, there will be no public viewing. Following cremation, his ashes will be honored in a manner befitting his generous spirit.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of Hanover at the address listed above, reflecting David's lifelong commitment to his community.
