Dennis E. Houck, 65 of Thomasville passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 20, 2025.  He was the beloved husband of nine years to Rita A. (Eckhart) Houck, whom he married on May 16, 2016.

Born May 21, 1960 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Marvin H. and Janet M. (Martz) Houck.

Mr. Houck is fondly remembered as a friendly soul who was always willing to help anyone.  He was faithful, hardworking and dependable, serving a long career as a forklift operator at Doubleday Book Company.  He attended Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hanover.  In his free time, he enjoyed watching football, NASCAR and playing video games.

In addition to his wife Rita, Dennis is survived by his daughter, Dawn L. Houck of Thomasville; two grandchildren: Susan L. Lentz of Thomasville and Gabriel M. Eboch of Thomasville, as well as four siblings: Judith A. Hershey and husband Ben, Trina A. Kopp and companion Tim, Valerie A. Houck and Teresa L. Hershey and husband Tim, his faithful dachshund, Bandit as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his fiancé, Vera Lentz.
