Dennis Bernard Kuhn, Jr., 55, of Hanover, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 4, 2026, at UPMC Hanover Hospital.
Born January 20, 1971, in Hanover, Dennis was the son of Diane L. (Laughman) Kuhn and her husband, Donald Harris, and the late Dennis Bernard Kuhn, Sr.
Dennis attended New Oxford High School and was an avid go-kart racer. His love of racing extended well beyond the track, as he was a devoted sprint car racing fan and spent many memorable evenings at Lincoln Speedway.
Dennis was a hardworking man who genuinely loved his job at Edsal Manufacturing Company in Littlestown and especially valued the friendships he formed with the people he worked alongside.
Above all, Dennis was a family man. He was incredibly close to his family and treasured the time they spent together, whether it was gathering for a visit, sharing a beer, or simply enjoying each other's company. He shared a particularly close bond with his mother and called her every day at 4:30 p.m., like clockwork—a daily tradition that meant so much to them both. Dennis loved deeply, and the relationships he shared with his family and friends were at the center of his life.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, Dennis is survived by his children, Sasha Kuhn and Tyke Kuhn; his sister, Tracey Farrow and her husband, Kevin, of New Oxford; his nieces, Sarah Fair, Lanie Farrow, Heaven Farrow, and Savanna Farrow; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tripp Deluca, Paisley Deluca, Ilyana Deluca, Bonnie Fair, Jacelynn Robinson, Ryder Colon, and Cooper Colon. He is also survived by many loving extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
In addition to his father, Dennis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Manny and Ruthetta Laughman.
A service to celebrate Dennis's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA, with Rev. Andrew Stonesifer officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Mummert's Meetinghouse Cemetery, East Berlin. Serving as pallbearers will be Sean Smith, Bradley Fair, Steven Harris, Kevin Farrow, Sarah Fair, and Tommy Matthews.
