Dennis J. Wilson, 61, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 11, 2024. Born on Monday, August 6, 1962, in Hanover, he was the beloved son of the late Arthur R. Wilson, Sr. and Mary Lou (Henry) Wilson.

Dennis was a cherished member of the community, known for his love of fishing, gardening, and spending time outdoors. He found joy in sharing these activities with his great nephews and caring for animals, embodying a spirit of kindness and generosity that endeared him to all who knew him.

He is survived by his siblings, Betty Bowers and her husband Wayne of Dover, Mildred Wilson of Hanover, Arthur R. Wilson, Jr. of Hanover, Randy Wilson of Hanover, Sherry Strausbaugh of York, Glenn Wilson of Albion, and Karen Abel of Gettysburg. Dennis also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and friends who will deeply miss him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Riley.

A service to celebrate Dennis's life will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA, with Rev. Kevin D. Orewiler officiating. Family and friends are invited to share memories and pay their respects from 10 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Following cremation, a burial will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 10 am, where full military honors will be rendered by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
