On New Year's Day morning, January 1 2024, Donna L. (Fout) Lyston, 73, of New Oxford moved to her Heavenly home.

Donna was a godly woman who loved the Lord and her family and set an example for her children and grandchildren that will lead them all their lives.

Donna was born in Baltimore City, MD on September 25, 1950 to the late William T. Fout and Mary E. (Myers) Fout. She loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus, with all her heart, and she loved God's Word. Donna was a humble woman, but nonetheless a powerful prayer warrior, and only Heaven knows the eternal impact all her many years of faithful praying had on her family and friends.

Donna was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her family more than anything, with the exception of the Lord. One of her favorite pastimes was to write music influenced by her faith. Some of her other hobbies included going to yard sales in search of the perfect treasure to add to her antiques collection.

Donna is survived by her three sons, William Cannon of Hanover PA, Edward Lyston and his wife Shannon of New Oxford, PA, and Eric Lyston and his wife Sharon of Hanover PA; her sister Barbara Skipper and husband John, of Mims FL. and her brother John Fout. She also lovingly leaves behind seven grandchildren and a great grandchild on the way.

A viewing and an opportunity to gather with Donna's family to share memories will be on Friday, January 5th from 7-8pm at Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc; 549 Carlisle St. in Hanover, where a funeral service will begin promptly at 8pm with Rev. Cindy Orewiler officiating.
