Donna L. (Miller) Riddle, of Hanover, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter, peacefully passed away on September 11, 2023 at UPMC Pinnacle Hanover, at the age of 60.
Born on August 15, 1963 in Gettysburg she was a daughter of Marilyn R. (Morgan) Miller of Hanover and the late Leo F. Miller.
Throughout her life, Donna was known for her unwavering love for her family. She found immense joy in spending quality time with her loved ones, cherishing every moment shared with them. Her fondest memories were often made during her grandson's baseball games, where she cheered him on with unmatched enthusiasm and pride.
Donna was a graduate of New Oxford High School, class of 1981, where she formed lasting friendships and cherished memories that stayed with her throughout her life. She embarked on a fulfilling career journey, beginning at Cremer Florist, where her passion for creativity and artistry shone through her work. She later dedicated 14 years of her life to Boyds Bears, contributing her talents to the cherished teddy bear company. Most recently, she worked at Kohl's, where her warm and friendly nature made her a beloved colleague.
One of Donna's greatest passions was her love for animals, particularly her faithful Scottish terrier, Bailey, who was her constant companion and a source of comfort and joy. Together, they shared countless moments of companionship and affection.
A dedicated fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, Donna followed her beloved baseball team with committed enthusiasm. Her love for the sport was surpassed only by her love for her family. She was a nurturing caregiver who always put the needs of her loved ones above all else. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Donna's love, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family will be remembered fondly, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her. She may be gone from our sight, but she will forever remain in our hearts.
Donna is survived by her devoted spouse, Terry Lee Riddle, together they shared 26 wonderful years of marriage, her loving daughter, Jessica Mae Bachota and her husband Kevin of New Oxford; her stepson, Joel Eugene Riddle of Hanover; her cherished grandson, Austin "AJ" Bachota of New Oxford; her siblings, Jeannette Noel and her husband Bruce of Hanover, Christopher Allen Miller and wife Tiffany of Allen, TX; five nieces and nephews, Christopher Hahn, Jonathan Miller, Amanda Anderson, Alecia Odom, Alec Miller; six great nieces and nephews, Ronald Miller, Beckham Anderson, Elijah Odom, Judith Odom, and twins Leo and Leyton Anderson. In addition to her father, Donna was preceded in death by her a brother, Joseph Leo Miller.
A service to celebrate the life of Donna will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover with Rev. Kevin D. Orewiler officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, McSherrystown. Pallbearers will be Christopher Miller, Christopher Hahn, Austin "AJ" Bachota, Kevin Bachota, Jonathan Miller and Justin Anderson.
