Obituary

Donny Ray Miller, 57, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at UPMC Hanover. He was the devoted husband of Robin L. (Morrison) Miller, with whom he shared 10 wonderful years of marriage.

Born on Friday, October 6, 1967, in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, Donny was the cherished son of the late John Joseph and Rose Mary (Gill) Miller.

Donny lived life with a vibrant spirit and a heart full of humor. Known as a character and a jokester, he always brought laughter to those around him. He lovingly referred to himself as "the healthiest man in Hanover," a phrase that encapsulated his lighthearted nature.

A man of many passions, Donny found joy in camping, spending time with friends and family, and cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh teams—the Steelers, Penguins, and more. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling and golfing. Driving his truck wasn't just a career for Donny—it was a source of pride and joy. As a self-employed truck driver leased to Dedicated Trucking in Westminster, MD, he was known for his hard work and dedication.

Donny's greatest love, however, was his family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, he was happiest when surrounded by his loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Robin, and his children: Mark Allen Miller and his wife Naomi of Erie, PA; Robert William Miller and his fiancé Stephen Aulerich of Silver Spring, MD; and Corey Morrison and his fiancé Jessica Harris of Manchester, MD. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Jaysen, Maci, Samuel, Abigail Miller, Adeline Morrison, Alexis Davis and Rebekah Davis.

Donny is also survived by his siblings: John Miller; Lori Rutkowski and her husband Daniel; Karen Shever and her husband Paul; and Kurtis Miller and his wife Barbara. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends, including Dustin Sullivan and his wife Carissa of Annapolis, MD, who held a special place in his heart.

In addition to his parents, Donny was preceded in death by his son, Michael Ray Miller, and his sister-in-law, Shirley Miller.
