Dustin William Potts, aged 41, of South Park, Pennsylvania, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital.
Born on April 28, 1982, in Hanover, PA, Dustin was the cherished son of Dennis William Potts of New Oxford and Sandra P. (Hamme) Carnaroli of South Park.
Known for his giving heart he generously shared his love with his family, friends and his many rescued furry "friends". He was an avid gardener, loving nature and plants, and enjoyed sharing his harvest in the summer and fall. Dustin also loved bowling.
He leaves behind a loving family: his father, Dennis and his wife Joy; his mother, Sandra; his brother, Derek of Scottsdale, AZ; his half-sister, Kelsey; his adopted brothers, Sherwin and Kirby; and his step-siblings, Steve and Nicole. Dustin's life was also enriched by numerous loving uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Dustin was preceded in death by his grandparents and a second cousin, Hope.
A service to celebrate the life of Dustin will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA. There will be a time during the service for all to share memories. An opportunity to view will be on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and then again on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
