Edward L. Harrison, 85 of Spring Grove passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 6, 2023.  He was the beloved husband of Doris J. (Rue) Harrison.

Born September 21, 1937 in Flint, Michigan, he was a son of the late John H. and Eva M. (Voltenberg) Harrison.

Mr. Harrison was a 1957 graduate of Beecher High School in Flint, Michigan and proudly served our country for 20 years in the United States Navy.  Additionally, he was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association and the American Legion.  After his military service, he worked for R.H. Sheppard in Hanover, as well as SKF and Lowe's.  He also loved classic cars.

Edward is survived by three children: Christine L. Waltz and her husband, Michael of Hanover, Tammy Z. Van Scyoc and her husband, Mike of Littlestown and William H. Harrison of Chincoteague, VA., two step-children: Chris L. Auchey and his wife, Christine of Spring Grove and Tammy S. Williams and her husband, Raymond of Abbottstown, as well as numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy A. Coleman.

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
