Elizabeth E. (Horstick) Baggett, 92 of Abbottstown passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at her home.  She was the beloved wife of 74 years to M J Baggett.

Born March 22, 1928 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Simon S. and Esther  (Hoover) Horstick.

Elizabeth was a faithful member of Harvest Time Temple.  She also worked for the PA Dept. of Transportation for 25 years.  She enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing, traveling and most of all, spending time with her loving family.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Baggett is survived by her daughter, Linda Thurman and her husband, Dr. David Thurman of Hanover and her son, Dr. Gary Baggett and his wife, Peggy of Belmont, NC, as well as 6 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Rev. Darius Horstick and Rev. Simon Horstick.

A graveside service to celebrate Elizabeth's life will be held on Friday, September 11 ^th at 2pm at Shoops Cemetery Garden of Rest; 4332 Lexington St. in Harrisburg with Rev. Fred Mummert officiating.  Guests are encouraged to arrive at the cemetery by 1:45 pm.
