Ethan Michael Mooney, 19, of Hanover, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at WellSpan York Hospital.

Born January 20, 2003 in Hanover, he was the son of Charles M. "Mike" and Katrina (Brackney) Mooney, Hanover and Ashley (Smith) Dougherty, Minnesota.

Ethan attended South Western High School and Champ's Barber School, Lancaster.  He enjoyed music, riding dirt bikes, fishing and hanging out with his friends.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Alexis and Hailey Mooney, Hanover; maternal grandparents, Stanley and Cynthia Brackney, Hanover; maternal great grandmother, JoAnn Hart, Hanover; aunt, Kelly Thomas, Hanover; aunt, Lisa Garrett, Hagerstown, MD; uncle, Chris Mooney, Baltimore, MD and uncle, Jason Brackney, Kinzers, PA.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jerry Wayne, Sr. and Katherine (Garrett) Cook.

A service to celebrate the life of Ethan Michael Mooney will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 7 PM at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover.  The family will receive friends and share memories on Tuesday from 5 PM until the start of the service at the funeral home.
