Evelyn Dolores (McNeave) Chevillar, 93, of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s eternal care on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Born June 11, 1933, in Carroll County, MD, she was the daughter of the late Robert G. and Ada (Hahn) McNeave.

She is predeceased by her husband of 74 years, Roland L. Chevillar; their two sons, Gary L. and David L. Chevillar; her brothers, Robert, Charles, William, and Kenneth McNeave; and her sisters, Dorthy Bixler and Kathryn Long.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Kevin L. Chevillar; her granddaughters, Jennifer L. (Chevillar) Luckabaugh, Erica L. (Chevillar) Sturtze, Brooke R. (Chevillar) Martin, and Samantha L. (Chevillar) Ridgeway; and their families, including seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished her family more than anything and often mentioned how lucky she was to have such a great family. She was always smiling and had a contagious giggle, making those around her just a little bit happier.

Over the years, she enjoyed attending the activities and sporting events of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always cheering them on from near and far. Evelyn’s kind spirit and generous heart will be greatly missed.

She worked at various local businesses and retired from Utz Quality Foods.

The family is respecting Evelyn’s end-of-life wishes by honoring her life privately, without a formal service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org or by mail to 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.
