Obituary

Everett "Pete" Croston, 91, of Wampum, PA and formerly of Hanover, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Bernice E. (Baldwin) Croston.  Together they shared 68 years of marriage.

He was born March 3, 1929 in Philippi, West Virginia, the son of the late Jesse and Alice (Mayle) Croston.

Mr. Croston proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was employed at R.H. Shepherd, Hanover for many years.  He was a member of Park Gate Baptist Church, Ellwood City and was an avid outdoorsman.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Dian Croston and husband Roger, Waynesburg, OH, Tony Croston and wife Karen, Dallastown and Deb Brillhart and husband Tim, Spring Grove; sisters, Janetta Miller and husband Keith, Auburn, FL and Erma Mayle, Canton, OH; grandchildren, Scott Croston, Jeremy Croston, Joshua Croston, Wendy Dalton, Amy Vitale and T.J. Brillhart; 12 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Stony Croston, sister, Dorothy Croston and brothers, Quarter Mayle and Leonard Croston.

A funeral service will be held Friday, September 18, 2020 at 1 PM at Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle Street, Hanover with Pastor Billy Shanor officiating.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Friday from 12 until 1 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover.  Serving as pallbearers will be T.J. Brillhart, Joshua Croston, Jeremy Croston, Willie Dalton, Christopher Sills and McBryson Croston.
