Gail
D'Amico
May 21, 1936 — Jun 1, 2025
On a beautiful summer day in September of 1953, Gail walked into Dr Binder's history
class, the first day of the school year at Temple University. She was easy to spot because
she was a little late and wearing a dark red sweater, poodle skirt, and Bobby sox. Don
looked up and thought: "Wow! Nothing ever looked like that in my all boys Catholic
high school." And beginning that day, Don and Gail spent seventy-two years together
building Gail's dream of having a large and loving family.
Charlene Gail D'Amico, born on May 21, 1936, left to spend eternity in God's loving
arms on June 1, 2025. She is survived by her loving husband of seventy years, Dr. Donald
D'Amico, and their six loving children: Donnagail D'Amico and the late Paul Walko of
Hanover, Debra D'Amico of Hanover, Donald D'Amico and Anna of Chester Springs,
PA, Daniel D'Amico and Linda of Frisco, TX, Denise D'Amico Maxey and Greg of
North Myrtle Beach, SC, and Dorinda D'Amico Lehker and Tom of Hanover.
Gail is also survived by her 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren who were the
joy of her life: Luke Walko of Peachtree City, GA, Jesse Walko and Julie Madoni of
Ijamsville, MD, and their son Joseph, Miranda Walko of Hanover, Krista D'Amico and
Kayla D'Amico of Philadelphia, Sarah D'Amico of West Grove, PA, Carlie D'Amico of
Swansea, IL, Martina D'Amico and Donald Marcus D'Amico of Chester Springs, PA,
Whitney Wells of Frisco, TX, and her daughters Raelee Wells, and Cadence Wells, Tyler
Maxey of Berkeley, CA, Michael Maxey of Houston, TX, Davis Maxey of North Myrtle
Beach, SC, Madeline Lehker, Zoe Lehker, and Zane Lehker of Hanover.
Gail will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She found joy in life's
pleasures: hosting lively family gatherings, spending summer days at her beach house,
sending Christmas cards each year, watching her children and grandchildren play sports,
and making new friends wherever she went. Her vibrant spirit and contagious laughter
was felt in every room and created cherished memories that will live on in our hearts
forever.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at

cremation, a memorial service to celebrate Gail's life will be held at 3pm on Saturday,
