Garry William Jewitt, 69, of Hanover, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at his home. He was the loving husband of Vivian G. (Mecke) Jewitt; together they recently celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary on May 2nd.

Born Sunday, May 30, 1954 in Johnstown, he was a son of the late Harry and Mary Margaret (Dierkes) Jewitt.

Garry worked as a screw machinist for much of his career, enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Garry is survived by three children, Shane Jewitt and his wife Ashley of Hanover, Amanda Rhoads and her husband Jason of Wrightsville, Aaron Jewitt and his wife Amy of Valencia; 11 grandchildren, Austin, Tiffanie, Trenton, Colton, Ashton, and Ashlyn Jewitt.  Connor, Kelsie, Mikayla, and Mackenzie Rhoads, and Eden Jewitt; five siblings, Larry Jewitt, Yvonne Kinneman, Donna Baker, Denise Jewitt, and Barry Jewitt. Mr. Jewitt is also survived by a loving extended family and friends.

Per Garry's wishes there will be no public viewing or services.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
