Gene Stone, 77, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Amoroso Wellness at York. He was the loving husband of the late Patricia A. (McCartney) Stone.

Born December 18, 1944 in Dry Ridge, KY, he was a son of the late Ralph Sone and the late Helen (Sydnor) Barlow.

Gene was a loving husband, father and friend; he cherished spending time with his family and friends any chance he could. After high school Gene entered the United States Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War. After Vietnam he worked as a machine operator for many years at Keystone Manufacturing, retiring in 2015. In his free time, Gene enjoyed camping and fishing.

Mr. Stone is survived by three children, Steve Stone of Hanover, Jodi Stone of Hanover, Jeffrey Stone and his wife Amy of East Berlin; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren and two brothers, Butch and Terry Barlow. Gene is also survived by many loving extended family members and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Stone was preceded in death by three siblings.

There will be no public viewing. Following cremation, services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
