Rev. Gene V. Wilson, 63 of Littlestown went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Hanover Hospital.  He was the beloved husband of Lisa Smith Wilson.

Born December 27, 1958 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late Eugene L. and Lenore (Harrison) Wilson.

Gene is remembered as a faithful man, dedicated to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He loved the mountains in Gatlinburg, TN and Christmastime with family and friends and was known as a computer enthusiast.

In addition to his wife, Gene is survived by his son, Christopher Wilson and his wife, Erin of Pasadena, MD, his half-sister, Donna Hartman of Glen Rock, PA and his half-brother, Daniel V. Wilson of Glen Burnie, MD, as well as 3 grandchildren. Kaylee, Keegan and Avery Wilson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 siblings: Nora Schaub and Kenneth Wilson.

A funeral service to celebrate Gene's life will be held on Friday, January 14 ^th at 6pm at Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory; 549 Carlisle St. in Hanover with Rev. Kevin Orewiler officiating. Burial will be private at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Ellicott City, MD.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will also be on Friday at the funeral home from 3pm until the start of the service.
