Grace V. (Wildasin) Simpson, 92, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at home. She was the loving wife of the late Norman B. Simpson.
Born March 8, 1929 in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Levi E. and Mae M. (Rabenstine) Wildasin.
Grace was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she enjoyed playing cards but most of all she cherished time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and family.
Grace is survived by eight children, Brenda Houser, Allen Arentz and his wife Judy, Linda Power, Greg Arentz and his wife Deb, Sandy Lemire and her husband Bill, Donna Zettelmoyer, John Arentz and his wife Jane, Chuck Arentz; 25 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and a sister, Evelyn Barnhart. Mrs. Simpson is also survived by many loving extended family members and friends.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Grace was preceded in death by a son, Rodger Arentz; two grandchildren; two sons-in-law, her sibling, Pauline Groft, Helen Dull, Dorothy Lau, Delores Storm, Sterling "Sonny" Wildasin, Raymond Wildasin, Gladys King, and Levi Wildasin, Jr. and Jennie Gobrecht.
A service to celebrate the life of Grace will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA with Rev. Craig E. Arentz officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover. Pallbearers will be; Josh Arentz, Shane Arentz, Robby Wagaman, Mike Arentz, Daniel Zettelmoyer and Josh Martz.
