Helen Orsi, née Mazzocchi passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024 at the Cross Keys Village Brethren Home Community in PA. She was the loving wife of Louis B. Orsi, sharing 46 years of marriage before his passing in 2006.

She was born in New York City on June 25, 1929, the daughter of the late Giovanni and Maria (Rossi) Mazzocchi. After high school she began a career in NYC as a Registered Medical Records Librarian, working in several hospitals before marrying her husband Louis in 1959. She continued working as a Registered Medical Records Consultant in area Nursing homes when her children were in school. In 1964 they moved their young family to Ramsey, NJ where she enjoyed gardening, golf, reading and volunteering. She was an accomplished knitter known for her hand knitted Christmas stockings presented to all extended family members. In 1989 Helen and Lou retired to Lakehurst, NJ where they enjoyed their time together playing golf, card games and socializing. Following Louis' passing, Helen relocated to The Pines at Whiting, NJ in 2017 and then to the Brethren Home Community in 2022.

Helen is survived by her three children: her daughter Alisa Mihal and her husband Andrew of Upper Saddle River, NJ; her daughter Melanie Williamson and her husband Brian of Nineveh, NY; and her son Douglas Orsi and his wife Michelle of New Oxford, PA. She was the proud grandmother of Eric Mihal and his fiancée, Wlue Kollue, Andrew Mihal, Kyle Williamson, Julia Williamson, Joshua Orsi, and Sedona Orsi, and the adoring great-grandmother of Penelope Petty. Helen is also survived by her sisters, Rita Scagnelli and Ida Yusko, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Rohe.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Helen's life will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at the Church of the Presentation, 271 W Saddle River Rd, Upper Saddle River, NJ, with Father Rich Francesco officiating. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ. The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to the Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory, Hanover, PA.
