Helen I. Wildasin, 93, of Dallastown and formerly of Hanover, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Promedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Dallastown.
Born April 4, 1930 in York Haven, she was the daughter of the late Lafair H. Harget, Sr. and Mary A. (Beck) Harget.
Helen was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Hanover and had previously attended Hanover Evangelical Christian Church. She worked at Traditions Furniture, Hanover, the Hanover Glove Factory and the Hanover Evening Sun. Helen enjoyed baking cookies, gardening and sewing quilts.
She is survived by her children, Susan Emlet and husband David, Glenville, Steve Wildasin and wife Barbara, Hanover and Barry Wildasin and wife Jennifer, York; sister, Arlene Landis, York; brothers, Theodore Harget, York and James Harget, North Carolina; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several great, great grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her daughters, Diane L. Wildasin and Debra E. Stiles; sons, Mervin S. Wildasin and Daniel L. Wildasin; sisters, Ethel Summers and Dorothy Strickler; brothers, Lafair Harget, Jr. and Eugene Harget and grandson, Keith Black.
A graveside service for the family will be held at 10 AM Saturday, July 22, 2023 at St. Paul's Dubs Cemetery, 1958 Dubs Church Rd., Hanover with Pastor Jason Myers officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Helen I. Wildasin may be made to the SPCA of York County, 3159 Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406 or to the Victory Baptist Church, 25 Breezewood Drive, Hanover, PA 17331.
