Jacob "Jake" Edward Schell, 60, passed away Wednesday afternoon February 17, 2021 at UPMC Memorial Hospital.  He was the beloved husband of 40 years to Kathleen R. (Laughman) Schell.

Mr. Schell was born on September 14, 1960 at York Hospital to the late Floyd F. Schell and Mabel J. (Godfrey) Schell.

He was employed at Starbucks Roasting Distribution Center in Emigsville. Jacob was a 1978 graduate of Dallastown High School and worked at Pennfield Feeds, American Colloid Company, Dallas (TX) Sheriff's Department, and GlaxoSmithKline.  Jake was always willing to help anyone in need and would quickly bring a smile to those around him. His love of God and others shown through in all that he did.

In addition to his wife, Jacob is survived by 3 children: Jason "Quinton" Schell of York, Joshua A. Schell of Carlsbad, CA and Rebecca J. Schell of York, as well as his faithful dog, Charlie.

A funeral service to celebrate Jacob's life will be held on Wednesday, February 24 ^th at 11am at Lighthouse Baptist Church of Greater York; 5005 Carlisle Rd.; Dover, PA 17315 with Pastor Sterling Walsh officiating.  Entombment will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will also be on Wednesday from 10am until the start of the service at the church.
