Jay C. Yarger, 74 of Hanover, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. He was the loving partner of Patricia C. Yarger; a relationship they shared together for over 45 years.

Born on July 23, 1947 in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Clarence Clayton and Hazel Miranda (Snyder) Yarger.

Mr. Yarger served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and spent his career as a truck driver. Jay loved spending time with his family and friends, enjoyed fishing, fixing cars, and watching NASCAR.

In addition to his wife, Patricia, Jay is survived by three daughters, Michelle L. Kurnik of St. Augustine, Florida, and Melody M. Anderson and her husband Greg of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Vicki Jo Yarger of St. Augustine, Florida; a son, Jay C. Yarger, Jr. of Orlando, Florida; a brother, Donald Yarger; a sister, Caroline Yarger; a twin sister, Fay Yarger, twelve grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many other loving family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Jay was preceded in death by his three sisters: Phyllis Yarger, Ilene Yarger, and Betty Bingaman.

There will be no public viewing. Following cremation the family will have a private burial at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, Pennsylvania.
