Jeffery Earl Poist, 63, of York, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at home.

Born March 31, 1959 in Waverly, MD, he was the son of Carolyn A. (Chalk) Aryan and husband Scott, Stewartstown and Earl L. Poist, Jr. and wife Gabrielle, Bridgeville, DE.

Jeff graduated from Susquehannock High School, Glen Rock and attended York College.  He was employed at Westinghouse, Hunt Valley, MD for many years.  Musically gifted, Jeff could play music by ear and was an accomplished drummer; he was also a talented artist.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Kris A. Poist and wife Jennifer, Woodstock, GA; uncle, Richard A. Chalk, Palm Bay, FL and aunt, Kathy E. Strevig, Red Lion.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at St. Jacob's Stone Church Cemetery, 5152 Stone Church Rd., Glenville.
