Jerry Wayne Cook, Sr, 71 of Hanover and formerly of Baltimore, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021 at York Hospital.  He was the loving husband of the late Katherine (Garrett) Cook.

Born January 30, 1950 in Wilmerding, PA, he was the son of the late Fred Patrick and June Elizabeth (Porter) Cook.

Jerry was an iron worker and member of the Iron Workers Union Local 16, Baltimore, MD.  He was a hard worker and very selfless, always putting the needs of others before his own.  Jerry loved spending time with his grandchildren and loved animals.

He is survived by his son, Charles M. "Mike" Mooney and wife Katrina, Hanover; sister, Terrie "Sue" Dowling, Adrian, PA; brother, Henry Eierman, Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Ethan, Alexis and Hailey Mooney, all of Hanover; niece, Kelly Thomas, Hanover; nephews, Kelly Wayne Cook, California and Rickie Cook, Delaware and many cousins.

In addition to his parents and wife, Jerry was preceded in death by his son Jerry Wayne Cook, Jr., brothers, Fred Cook, Rickie Cook and Donald Cook and his nephews, Freddie Cook, Shawn Cook and Jared Dowling.

A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at a later date.
