John W. David Memorial Video

John W. David, 68, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 15, 2021 at UPMC Pinnacle Hanover. He was the loving husband of Brenda T. (Althoff) David; together they shared 39 years of marriage.

Born January 20, 1953 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late Samuel and Rose M. (Sturgill) David.

John honorably served his country for 27 years in full time United States Air Force  and Air Guard.  He enjoyed playing his guitar, drawing pictures, enjoyed fixing computers and loved technology.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by four children, April Fink of McSherrystown, Aaron David and his wife Kelly David of Euless, TX, Adrienne Ruzicka and her husband Justin of Pittsburgh, John A. David of Hanover; six grandchildren, Cullen Watson, Michael David, Aiden David, Faith David, Christian Ruzicka, Evan Ruzicka; four siblings, Don David, Sam David, Sandy David and Tammy David. John is also survived by many loving extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie David.

There will be no public viewing. Following cremation, a memorial service to celebrate the life of John will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA with Rev. Dave Miller officiating. A time to share memories with the family will be on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be Private and at the convenience of the family.
