Joseph H. Hertz, 64 of Littlestown passed away peacefully at Hanover Hospital on Thursday, September 14, 2023.

He was the beloved husband of Robin C. (Schuchart) Hertz.

Born February 25, 1959 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Earl H., Sr. and Dorothy H. (O'Brien) Hertz.

Joe is fondly remembered as a dedicated family man who loved all people.  He always put others first and would go out of his way to be a peacemaker.  His family cherishes the memory of his strong Christian virtue and love of the Lord.  He was also especially fond and proud of his grandchildren and greatly enjoying watching them grow.  His wonderful sense of humor always brought joy and smiles to all who knew and loved him.  Joe also enjoyed camping, cooking and honing his tremendous skills as a gardener.  Additionally, he was an avid fan of Bud Light and the Baltimore Ravens.

In addition to his loving wife, Robin, Mr. Hertz is survived by two sons: Jason Hertz and his wife, Jessica and Christopher Hertz and his wife, Jessica; two grandsons: Skylyr and Owen; seven siblings: Earl Hertz, Jr., Julie Bowers and her husband Greg, Sue Krug and her husband Bill, John Hertz and his wife Yae, Linda Sanders and her husband David, his twin-brother David Hertz and his wife Anita and Annie Kress and her husband Ben.

A graveside service to celebrate Joe's life will be held in private by his family at Marburg Memorial Gardens in Hanover, followed by a public celebration of life service to be announced at a later date.
