Obituary

Joyce Mae (Robinson) Storm, 83, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at her home. She was the loving wife of Frederick L. Storm, also of Hanover; together they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage.

Born on February 25, 1942, in Green Mountain, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Bristoe Robinson and Mary (Whitson) Robinson.

Joyce was a dedicated employee of Sunoco Products in Hanover, where she worked for 35 years. She was known for her deep love of gardening, her beautiful flowers, and her special affection for hummingbirds and butterflies. Joyce found joy in canning, baking, and sharing homemade treats with family and friends. She also cherished time spent with her beloved dog, Nikki.

A loving and selfless mother, Joyce always put her children and family above all else. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and unwavering support. She was a devoted wife, a trusted friend, and a source of strength to those who knew her.

Joyce is survived by her children: Troy Robinson and his wife Lynn of Hanover; Wayne Wagner of Spring Grove; Brian Wagner and his wife Donna of Hanover; Tammy Swink and her fiancé Houston Graham of Kingsport, TN and Keith Storm of Hanover. She is also remembered fondly by her grandchildren: Eric Wagner, Nathan Storm, Nikki Rose, Crystal Kling, Max Wagner, Mike Wagner, and Samantha Storm; as well as great-grandchildren: Grant Lockard, Joseph Kling Jr., Tyler Kling, Waylon Kling, and Scott Storm.

She is also survived by her siblings: Arlie Robinson of Bean Station, TN; Arthur Robinson and Virginia Buchanan, both of Burnsville, NC; Wanda Thompson of Morristown, TN, WilllaAnn Wonder of Hanover and Opal Buchanan of Burnsville, NC. Joyce leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Allen Robinson, LeRoy Robinson, and Bristoe "Dune" Robinson and by her son-in-law Allen Swink.

Interment will take place privately at Marburg Memorial Gardens in Hanover. Serving as pallbearers will be Houston Graham, Brian Wagner, Keith Storm, Nathan Storm, Max Wagner, and Mike Wagner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Joyce's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
