Julie L. (Toomey) Cornbower, 54 of Gettysburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at the Genesis Gettysburg Center.

Born June 26, 1968, in Hanover, she was a daughter of the late Theodore F. and Emma J. (Phillips) Toomey.

Julie was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church for many years. Some of her favorite pastimes were watching movies and spending time with her beloved family.

Mrs. Cornbower is survived by a daughter Victoria M. Lenhart and her husband Dustin of York; a son Zachary M. Cornbower of Hanover; her seven grandchildren; four siblings, Theodore Toomey of Hanover, Sharon Maust of York Springs, Shirley Miller of East Berlin, and Lori Wallen of East Berlin. Julie was also survived by many loving extended family members and friends.

A service to celebrate the life of Julie will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA with Rev. Kevin D. Orewiler officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Monday from 6 - 8 p.m. and then again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. Pallbearers will be; Deegan Becraft, Dustin Lenhart, Zachary Cornbower, Theodore Toomey, Jeffrey Miller, and Dennis Cornbower.
