Obituary

June M. (Langdon) Snyder, 92, of Hanover, peacefully departed this life on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Hanover Hall. She was the cherished wife of the late Roy W. Snyder, with whom she shared a deep and enduring love.

Born on April 17, 1932, in Morristown, New Jersey, June was the beloved daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Pressler) Langdon. From a young age, she exhibited a nurturing spirit and a profound love for family, qualities that defined her throughout her life.

June was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she relished every moment spent with them. Her nurturing heart extended to her cherished dog, Lacy, who was a loyal and loving companion. June's adventurous spirit took her across the country, living in various states including Pennsylvania, Nevada, Florida, and New Jersey. Each place she called home was enriched by her presence.

While residing in Ft. Myers, Florida, June was an active member of the Moose, where she made lasting friendships and served with distinction as the "Senior Regent." Her commitment to her community and her ability to lead with kindness and grace left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

June's legacy lives on through her daughter, Tina M. Snyder Black, and her husband Jeffrey R. of New Oxford; her four grandchildren: Amy L. Miller of Fallon, NV; Kelly L. Miller of Mechanicsburg, PA; Patrick I. Sweeney of Grand Rapids, MN; and Sarah B. Linton and her husband Brandon of New Oxford. She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life, and numerous loving extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

In addition to her parents and husband, June was preceded in death by six siblings, with whom she shared many fond memories and a close bond.

A private cremation will take place, and in accordance with June's wishes, there will be no public viewing. The family will hold a private service at a later date, allowing them to celebrate her life in an intimate and personal manner.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Rd., Gettysburg, PA 17325, in honor of June's love for animals.
