June E. Stewart, 83 of Hanover passed away peacefully at Transitions Healthcare Gettysburg on Thursday, May 23, 2024.

Born September 20, 1940 in Baltimore, she was a daughter of the late Joseph C. and June B. (Horner) vonGeilfuss.

June is fondly remembered as a "crafty woman" with immense talent and artistic ability.  Most importantly, she was very giving, very honest and always sincere, never being afraid to tell the truth.  In her free time, when she wasn't working on her beautiful craft projects, she cherished spending time boating and fishing on the Chesapeake Bay with her family.

The legacy June leaves behind and the fond memories of her will be carried on by her three children: Cynthia A. Owen, Jesse D. Owen III and Laura J. Morrison; her three sisters: Bonnie, June and Michelle, as well as six grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved Aunt Virginia.

A memorial gathering to celebrate June's life will be held in private by her family.
