Born on December 12, 1955, in Baltimore, Maryland, Karen was a cherished daughter of the late William S. and Mary L. (Shaffer) Forsythe. She attended South Western High School, graduating in 1973. It was during high school that she met her future husband while they were both working at a grocery store, and they married in 1975.

Karen was a loving wife and mother, raising her children with immense love and affection. She worked at McDonald's for several years and later retired from Weis Markets. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo, solving word search puzzles, and engaging in conversations with others. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Karen is survived by her husband, Jeffrey; her children, Nicholas Zeigler and his wife Alicia, Stephanie Trebatoski and her husband Rob, and Tiffany Zeigler; her beloved grandchildren, Troy Stoner, Thomas Trebatoski, Shani Trebatoski, Harley Zeigler, Logan Trebatoski, and Magnus Trebatoski; and her sister, Joyce Sample. She also leaves behind many loving extended family members and friends.
