Kerry L. Trimmer, also known as "Trimmer", 74 of Hanover passed away peacefully at Hanover Hospital on Friday, January 17, 2025. He was the beloved husband of 50 years to Helen M (Cole) Trimmer.
Born March 1, 1950 in Hanover, he was a son of the late Vernon C. and Grace I. (Goulden) Trimmer.
Mr. Trimmer worked at Walmart for 11 years. He was a member of the Hanover Moose for over 50 years, and a member of the Hanover Eagles for over 20 years. Among his favorite activities was spending time at the Dutch Country Restaurant in Hanover, enjoying iced tea and being among dear friends. He also started the Dutch Country Jam Session, and was a country music singer and songwriter. He will also be fondly remembered for his jovial sense of humor and reputation as a jokester.
In addition to his wife, Trimmer is survived by his daughter, Jacqueline R. Stambaugh and significant other Randy of York Springs; granddaughter, Angie Noel and husband Todd and grandson, Austin Kress; two great-grandchildren, Ali and Cory Noel; nephew, PJ Trimmer and wife Chris of New Oxford and niece Doris Jean Briar and husband Richard of Gettysburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Perry Trimmer.
Times to share memories and an opportunity to view will be at Wetzel Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc; 549 Carlisle St. in Hanover on Thursday, January 23rd from 2-4pm and 6-8pm where a funeral service to celebrate Kerry's life will begin at 8pm with Rev. E. Robert Burkhart officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dutch Country Restaurant; 946 Baltimore St.; Hanover, PA 17331, which will forward all contributions received to Mr. Trimmer's wife, Helen to assist with funeral expenses. Please include a note with all donations indicating they are intended for this purpose.
