Obituary

Kirt Adam Klinedinst, 52, of Hanover, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, February 23, 2025.

Born on Saturday, December 2, 1972, in York, Kirt was the beloved son of the late Kenneth Abraham Klinedinst, Sr. and Jean Louise (Flora) Klinedinst.

Kirt grew up in Littlestown and attended Littlestown High School before settling in Hanover, where he built a life surrounded by family and friends. He had a deep love for spending time with those closest to him and was an ever-present fixture at any family gathering. He built a legacy of hard work and integrity and was a skilled craftsman of home improvements. His sense of humor was unwavering; regardless of whether his jokes landed, or not, he never stopped trying to make others laugh.

An outdoor enthusiast, Kirt found joy in hiking and exploring nature. He especially loved spending time with his daughter, Kelsey, creating cherished memories on the slopes while snowboarding or riding four-wheelers in the mountains. Halloween held a special place in his heart, and he relished visiting family-friendly haunted attractions, embracing the season with enthusiasm each year. He also shared a love for camping and roller coasters with many family members, making these activities treasured pastimes for all who had the pleasure to experience them together.

Kirt is survived by his daughters, Kelsey (Klinedinst) DeJesus and Louise Klinedinst; his loving companion, Megan Shealer; his siblings, Kenneth A. Klinedinst, Jr. and his companion Stephanie, Keith Klinedinst, Michelle Klinedinst, Anna Klinedinst, and Susan Klinedinst; as well as many adored nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

A graveside service to celebrate Kirt's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Marburg Memorial Gardens, 2510 Grandview Rd., Hanover, PA. Serving as Pallbearers will be Kenneth A. Klinedinst, Jr., Keith Klinedinst, Chris Williams, Phillip Williams, Pedro DeJesus, and Connor Walker.
