Larry C. Bolin, 85, of Hanover, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at UPMC Pinnacle Hanover. Born on Tuesday, May 30, 1939, in Conewago Township, Hanover, Larry was the beloved son of the late John C. and Lillian I. (Gulden) Bolin.

Larry attended Eichelberger High School, class of 1957. Throughout his life, he dedicated much of his free time to volunteering with the Adams County Historical Society. Additionally, Larry had a passion for genealogy, conducting extensive research and writing a few books on the subject. He also found joy in gardening and landscaping, known for his meticulous attention to detail and perfectionism in maintaining his shrubs.

Larry is survived by his sisters Betty, Judith, and Linda Bolin, all of Hanover. He was preceded in death by his brother John Bolin and sisters Joyce, Jacqueline, Venice, June, Lois "Max," and Nancy Bolin.

In keeping with Larry's wishes, there will be no public viewing. Following cremation, a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 1 pm on Monday, June 17, 2024, at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, PA, with Rev. Kirk A. Griffin officiating. Family and friends are invited to share memories from 12 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Larry will be laid to rest in Rest Haven Cemetery.
